BA Fashion Communication 2023 and MA Photography 2025 graduate from the University of the West of England. I am an image maker with a focus in photography, curation, moving image and print. Within my work, I often draw from my own relationships and experiences. I generally explore themes such as heritage, identity, relationships, the body and mind. I use digital photography and archival matter to tell a story through the use of styling, casting, emotion, and movement. My goal is to work in education as well as being a freelance photographer.

Kai Sawicki’s Brazza Residency Story: Supported by Parrot and Kevin Andrew Heslop

“We first met Kai Sawicki through one of our open calls — and her work immediately resonated with us. Her ability to translate memory, place, and personal history into images struck a deep chord with us. At Parrot, we look for voices that feel genuine and deeply felt — and Kai’s was just that.

Recently, we were proud to sponsor Kai’s very first photography residency at Brazza, set in the town of Châteauneuf-sur-Charente in Southwest France. What began as a continuation of her ongoing series ‘Little Girls Grow Up & Dogs Get Old’ soon became something new — a journey into the feeling of home: ‘Glimpses of Home’. Through subtle parallels between two places 424 miles apart, Kai wove together a visual story about connection, memory, and the everyday details that shape the feeling of home.”

11th Community Art Exhibition at Circular Art Space – Nov 2024

A community exhibition featuring 24 artists of all different mediums on a renovated double decker bus. In this exhibition I featured 4 images from my ‘To Be Loved’ project. This project is visual exploration of the evolution of relationships and how they represent a universal connection between us. Using archival images as inspiration. These images explore my relationship with my nan. When I was younger, every Wednesday I would go to my Nan’s after school she would make me dinner then pudding, usually 2 ginger nut biscuits and various fruit. Then we would watch the new episode of Downton Abbey whilst she braided my hair. Although our relationship has developed over the years, she still plaits my hair and cuts my fruit up.
